Announcement: A Pause for the West Virginia Food Truck Festival
Since 2016, the West Virginia Food Truck Festival has been a beloved community event that brought together delicious food, great company, a variety of live music, and a shared purpose to support local nonprofits. Over the years, we’ve watched the festival grow, and we are deeply grateful for the support from our community, vendors, and attendees who have made it a success in so many ways.
However, as the festival has grown, so have the logistical and financial challenges associated with hosting it. While our goals have always been to raise funds for a local nonprofit, draw visitors from out of town, and celebrate our local food truck scene, we’ve faced several obstacles in achieving these aims sustainably.
After careful consideration, we’ve decided not to host the West Virginia Food Truck Festival this year. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it is necessary to pause and evaluate the event’s long-term sustainability and its ability to meet its goals.
We are taking time needed to reflect, gather feedback, and explore whether there is a viable way forward for the festival. Our aim is to ensure that if the event returns, it does so in a way that is impactful, sustainable, and beneficial for all involved.
We thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support as we work through this process. For now, we remain deeply grateful for the memories and connections the festival has created over the years.
Sincerely,
